Reporting Spam

Megaspace Hosted Email Spam Reporting

Your Megaspace hosted email comes out of the box with an easy to use interface for reporting spam to the filter. Reporting spam to the filter "trains" the filter if a message happens to slip through. If a message seems to consistently slip through, you may need to report it a few times. The spam database "rebuilds" daily, so it may take up to 24 hours to see the effects of reporting a message as spam.

How to Report

Reporting a message as spam is easy. simply forward the spam message to assp-spam@yourdomain.com before you delete the email. You will receive a confirmation message back from the mail server, thanking you for reporting the spam. The assp-spam email address prepends your own domain. For example, if your email address is larry@speedytowing.ca you will forward the spam email to assp-spam@speedytowing.ca

Notes

Remember, reporting spam in this manner works only for Megaspace hosted email accounts.
